Perinatal death in comparative law: the case of Japan
The aim of this webinar cycle, which will run from September 2025 to January 2026, is to conduct a comparative legal analysis of how the various selected countries (Argentina, Canada, Japan, Belgium and France) frame the issue of perinatal death. This complex issue will be addressed both from a civil perspective, concerning the symbolic tools of recognition, and from a penal perspective, concerning the involuntary manslaughter of the unborn child.
This second lecture will focus on the case of Japan and will be given by Minori KOKADO, Associate Professor, Osaka University, Japan.
This lecture series is organized under the direction of Guillaume Rousset, maître de conférences en droit, HDR, Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3 (CRDMS/IFROSS), by the Société de législation comparée and the Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3 (CRDMS/IFROSS), in partnership with the Association française de droit de la santé (AFDS) and the Agence universitaire de la francophonie (AUF).
Registration is free of charge but is required to Guillaume ROUSSET
