Journal club
Its purpose is to provide an open, educational, and interdisciplinary space for critical reading. It focuses on already published scientific papers that are freely accessible1.
Journal club sessions:
- aim to analyze an existing publication,
- are prepared by Master 2 students - Health / end-of-life and palliative medicine, under academic supervision,
- in no way constitute an evaluation of authors but an exercise in training and scientific reflection,
- offer a time for clinicians and researchers to meet and enrich each other by drawing on published articles.
The French National Platform for End-of-Life Research affirms its commitment to rigor, transparency and respect for each other's work. Exchanges following the presentation of the article take place in a spirit of openness, without personal or institutional questioning.
- without systematic solicitation of authors, in accordance with international academic practice. As a reminder, Article L952-2 of the French Education Code stipulates that: "Teachers-researchers, teachers and researchers enjoy full independence and freedom of expression in the exercise of their teaching duties and research activities, subject to the reservations imposed on them by the principles of tolerance and objectivity, in accordance with university traditions and the provisions of the present code. Academic freedom is the guarantee of excellence in French higher education and research. They are exercised in accordance with the constitutional principle of the independence of teacher-researchers."
