Frequently asked questions

Contenu
Having an account on our site gives you the opportunity to create a profile sheet for inclusion in our national directory of researchers, and to create one or more presentation sheets of your work that will be visible from our research projects directory.

My account

I don't have an account, how do I create one?

To create an account, simply click on theregister for directory button on the directory consultation page or use this link: https://www.plateforme-recherche-findevie.fr/user/register.

How do I log in to my account?

Click on the log in button at the very top right of your screen in the top banner (or directly via the address https://www.plateforme-recherche-findevie.fr/user/login) and fill in:

  • your username
  • your password

If you have not yet created a password, or if you have lost it, click on the lost password? button to enter a new one.

I don't want to be contacted by people who consult the directory, what should I do?

By default, your e-mail address is not visible in your search profile, but it is possible to contact you via a contact form.
If you do not wish to be contacted, uncheck the personal contact form box in your account settings (you can access it via the modify tab in the menu column).

Can I delete my account?

If you no longer wish to be listed in the directory simply send us a request via our contact form and we will delete your account. However, the deletion of your account will result in the deletion of any project records you have authored. To ensure that these records can be retained in our project directory, please provide us with the name of a colleague who is also working on this project and is listed in our directory.

You can of course encourage your colleagues to join our directory.

My research profile

How to complete or modify my profile

Using the "researcher profile" tab located at the top of the page, below the menu banner. Please note: this tab only appears once you are logged in.

  • Log in to your account
  • Click on the researcher profile tab. The modify tab is used to change your username or password.
  • You access various fields to complete classified under major headings: personal information, assignment, your research, your project sheets...
  • At any time you can save your profile without having filled in all the fields. You can then update it as many times as necessary.

I can't fill in the assignment section.

You can enter several assignments, these will be displayed but only one will be taken into account in the search mapping. You must therefore enter your laboratory or research unit as your first assignment (e.g. EA2274). If you haven't done so, you can always swap them by drag-and-drop.

Your assignment may already exist in our database. Start by searching for it by clicking on the add an existing assignment button. Only if you can't find it should you create a new one by clicking on theadd a new assignment button.

The assignment itself consists of various elements, including the laboratory name and address, for which the logic is the same: you must first search for them in our database by clicking on the add existing laboratory or add existing address button, before creating new ones if necessary. Don't forget to click on the create assignment button to save your entry.

If you have any problems, you can also contact us via our contact form telling us what you'd like to enter and we'll do it for you.

I can't find the item I'm looking for.

In some fields (disciplines, research themes, methodology...), as soon as you type the first letters of a word the system suggests pre-existing items. If it doesn't suggest what you're looking for, just let us know what you're missing in the other field and we'll add your proposal to our lists after validation.

My projects

Who can create a project sheet?

Any researcher who has created an account and a profile sheet in our directory who is working on this project. You can create a project file without necessarily being the project's scientific manager.

Where do project files appear?

Each project sheet can be consulted both from your profile sheet in our national directory of researchers and in the directory of research projects.

How to create a project sheet?

You have two options: either at the end of the form that allows you to create your researcher profile, or from the research projects directory, using the create a new project file button.

Before creating a new project record, we invite you to consult the project directory to check that the project in question does not already exist in our database, it may have been filled in by one of your colleagues. If the project already exists, you can link it to your researcher profile by clicking on the add an existing record button at the bottom of the form which allows you to modify your researcher profile.

Can I modify a project file for which I am not the author?

The system is designed in such a way that only the author of the file and the site administrators can modify it. If you wish to point out an error, make a change or add to the file, you can either contact the author of the file directly with your suggestions, or inform the site administrators via our contact form.

How to edit the "collaborators" section?

For the proper functioning of the project directory and directory it is important that you add your name and that of the project manager to the list of project collaborators, even if these already appear elsewhere in the form. In particular, this will ensure that the project in question is automatically linked to their profile in the directory.

I've created my listing but it doesn't appear, why?

It must first be validated by the site administrators for it to appear on the site.
