Investigating in hospitals: sociologists in (in)hospital terrain?

Study day organized by the Centre nantais de sociologie (CENS) of Nantes Université.

The hospital is a classic object of study and field for sociology. Numerous works, some of them long-standing, focus on its operation, its staff, its patients or even the illnesses treated there. The aim of this one-day conference is to explore the specific methodological issues involved in sociological research in hospitals. This call for papers is divided into three parts: the first focuses on survey methods in hospitals, the second on the essential question of access to the hospital field, and the third on the links between sociology and clinical research.
