Participatory / collaborative / action research

Workshop organized by the Réseau national des Maisons des sciences de l'homme (RnMSH) for research support staff, researchers and teacher-researchers, but also public and private partners of MSHs.

The RnMSH coordinates a skills group bringing together professionals in research promotion and scientific mediation.

This year, it is setting up a workshop on participatory/collaborative/action research, to reflect on these forms of research that develop a more partnership-based approach than a diffusionist one, bringing together academic and non-academic players in the co-construction of joint projects.

The objectives of the workshop are multiple. First, to present these different forms of research and some of their challenges. Secondly, the aim is to analyze the mechanisms developed within the MSHs in relation to these forms of research, in order to document and map what exists, but also to provide strategic thinking on these subjects. Finally, the aim is to reflect on the skills and professions at work to support this type of research.

During the introductory session on September 14, a presentation of the different forms of research and some of their challenges will be given. It will be followed by a review of experiences conducted at two MSHs: the "Action research, collaborative research, participatory research" seminar (MSH Paris Nord) and the "Trait d'union" platform (MSH SUD).

Registration is free but mandatory, before Friday, September 10 midnight, via the link below:
