Perspectives on the beginning and end of life
This time of reflection will bring together and exchange researchers from different disciplines (Law, Medicine, Philosophy, Sociology...), from Clermont-Ferrand and elsewhere (Belgian philosopher-ethicist, Swiss nurse and sociology researcher). The international dimension is essential to overcome certain scientific barriers. In particular, we need to be aware of the particularities of French legislation in relation to legislation in neighboring countries, where practices sometimes differ. In addition, cross-disciplinary reflection on the theme of end-of-life issues, on the one hand, helps to give greater meaning to provisions that are sometimes obscure to citizens and practitioners, and, on the other, to better grasp the practical implications of the law.
