Social workers in palliative care: support practices for immigrants at the end of life in Quebec

Monthly conference of the Réseau québécois de recherche en soins palliatifs et de fin de vie (RQSPAL).

In this paper, the articulation between social work, immigration and palliative care is analyzed based on research conducted as part of a doctoral study. The results focus on social workers' support practices for immigrants at the end of life, in the context of palliative care in Quebec. The presentation will highlight four logics of practice in this accompaniment and conclude with some avenues for improving practices.
