Call for Testimonials for the "PARIS" Study
The study, titled “PARIS,” is part of the ongoing discussions and research on suicide risk, end-of-life care, and the “desire to die.” It aims to assess the impact of palliative care on suicide prevention by combining epidemiological data with sociological analyses derived from interviews with healthcare professionals and patients.
In this context, the team is seeking:
– patients receiving palliative care in various settings (palliative care units, long-term care facilities, at home, university hospitals, etc.) who express a desire to die (self-harm, suicide attempts, requests for assisted dying, suicidal thoughts, etc.)
– patients who do not express a desire to die but have medical conditions similar to those in the first group
– professionalspalliative care providers in various care settings
– healthcare professionals who prescribe palliative care in various care settings
