A HAL collection for end-of-life research

The Plateforme nationale pour la recherche sur la fin de vie encourages researchers in the field to make their publications available to the scientific community via the HAL open archive.

Open science practices, i.e. the unhindered dissemination of research results, methods and products, are booming. The major research organizations and MESRI1 are seeking to develop them, as part of a national plan2.

HAL is an online platform developed by the CNRS Center for Direct Scientific Communication. In particular, it enables the open access dissemination of scientific articles and theses. The Plateforme nationale pour la recherche sur la fin de vie has created a collection there to promote French scientific production in this field.

This collection currently lists 358 bibliographic records, 123 of which are associated with full-text documents.

The aim now is to expand this list as much as possible. Members of the Platform's network who are listed in its researcher directory are invited to register their publications there.

These additions will not only give visibility to these works but also, through the free and open availability of scientific data, accelerate the development of research in the field of end-of-life and palliative care.
