Palliative care research years: the winners
Three positions enabling post-graduate students to devote a year to palliative care research have been awarded as part of the Ministry of Health's efforts to develop palliative care and support for the end of life.
The winners are:
Marie-Liesse GUENEE, pediatric intern, for a project entitled "Perception of caregivers and parents of the opportune moment to introduce a specialized palliative care team in children with spinal muscular atrophy type 0 and 1" which she will carry out as part of a master 2 research End of life and palliative medicine.
Morgane MESPLEDE, clinical psychologist and study engineer in psychology, is benefiting from a research year to prepare her university thesis within the Psychopathology and Health Processes host laboratory. Her research project focuses on the following theme: "How can we improve the identification and support of young carers with a relative in palliative care? An exploratory study."
Camille DE COCK, socio-anthropologist and research engineer, will be completing her first year of a University thesis thanks to this funding. Her project is entitled "Demandes d'aide active à mourir : étude prospective, multicentrique et mixte (DAM)".
