There were pre-existing links, as this is the only Master's program in France that trains students for research in the field of end-of-life and palliative care. Over the years, the collaboration has gradually been strengthened and structured through educational proposals animated with the Platform, such as the journal club. For the past two years, this monthly forum for critical analysis of scientific articles has been presented by students and is an integral part of the curriculum. Platform members are also heavily involved in the teaching team.

To officially record and develop this collaboration, a scientific partnership agreement has been drawn up with Lyon 1 Université Claude Bernard. It covers the club journal, student participation in the Platform's annual scientific days, and the organization of webinars.

This master's program involves researchers in public health, health sciences and human and social sciences. Its aim is to offer scientific and methodological skills, both qualitative and quantitative, that enable students to grasp the issues linked to the plural experiences of the end of life and to develop, conduct and enhance interdisciplinary research projects.

The course integrates clinical, interventional and organizational approaches with contributions from the human and social sciences, in order to grasp the medical, ethical, psychological and social dimensions of end-of-life situations. It is aimed at students in public health, human and social sciences, or medicine with a Master 1 degree, doctors and interns, nurses, healthcare professionals, as well as those involved in palliative care, ethics or public health, who are eligible for validation of professional experience. It combines face-to-face and distance learning. It remains compatible with a professional activity, as courses are organized in sessions.
