The Effect of Robotic-Assisted Therapy on Identity Formation, Psychobehavioral Disorders, and Well-Being Among Nursing Home Residents with Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders

Clinical research in care facilities (nursing homes, shared housing) focused on developing and evaluating robotic-assisted therapy workshops for patients with Alzheimer's disease. Currently being implemented in three healthcare facilities, the project aims to test non-pharmacological interventions to tangibly improve residents’ quality of life and sense of identity, and to reduce psycho-behavioral symptoms in end-of-life patients.

The ultimate goal is to validate this approach scientifically and institutionally before rolling it out on a larger scale, through the publication of a user manual provided to Les Diaconesses de Reuilly. It is a foundation recognized as a public utility, founded in 1841 and based in Versailles. It is home to the Diaconesses de Reuilly, a community of Protestant sisters dedicated to serving vulnerable people and a pioneer in end-of-life care that respects autonomy and human dignity.

This project, guided by rigorous ethical considerations, bridges the gap between psychological research and field feedback, and collaborates closely with major institutions and decision-makers in the healthcare sector.
