Death and law
The Association des doctorants en droit de l'Université de Reims (ADENDUR) is dedicating the sixth edition of its colloquium to the theme of "Death and Law".
This colloquium intends to offer a space for in-depth, multidisciplinary reflection on the representations and consequences of death in law. It aims to cross the views of different branches of law and welcome theoretical, critical, historical or comparative analyses, in order to think of death not only as an end, but also as a foundation, a semantics and a revealer of the purposes of law. The ambition is to question the way in which the law draws the consequences of death, said, in hollow, of its conception of life, of physical or moral persons, of institutions, of the norms themselves.
