End of life, death and bereavement in schools
The reality of end-of-life, death and bereavement often intrudes into the school setting, but remains an unthought-of issue in educational policies, school health and the training of teachers and health and social action staff. The aim of this submission is to develop a research project in psychology, socio-anthropology and education sciences on the subject of "end of life, death and bereavement in schools", with an international comparative perspective (France, Switzerland, Quebec). In particular, the aim will be to explore the schooling of young people in palliative situations, the functions and meaning of ritualizations in the school environment after a death, as well as the mourning process among young carers, its possible specificities and to question the role played for them by the school in this context.
