Feedback from interdisciplinary end-of-life consortia abroad
The Plateforme nationale pour la recherche sur la fin de vie and Inserm's Agence de programmes de recherche en santé offer researchers the opportunity to discover other experiences of creating interdisciplinary consortia abroad.
In Canada, the Interdisciplinary Research Consortium on Medical Aid in Dying (CIRAMM) is a team of 75 researchers, clinicians, students and collaborators - patient partners, representatives of community organizations and international researchers - formed to better understand the use of medical aid in dying in the Quebec context. This consortium has succeeded in bringing together all the driving forces in the field of palliative and end-of-life care in Quebec.
In Switzerland, another consortium has been formed for a project focusing on altruism at the end of life.
After a presentation of these projects, it will be possible to interview the teams about their experience and the difficulties they have encountered.
Speakers:
-
Isabelle MARCOUX, Catherine PERRON and Marie-Eve BOUTHILLIER will present the interdisciplinary research consortium on medical aid in dying (CIRAMM)
-
Eve RUBLI TRUCHARD and Anca-Cristina STERIE will present the projectUnderstanding altruism at the end of life.
