McGill International Congress on Palliative Care
McGill University's International Congress on Palliative Care is the oldest in the specialty.
Founded in 1976 by Dr. Balfour Mount and colleagues, it is now organized and presented every two years by McGill Palliative Care. More than 1,500 delegates from some 65 countries help make the Congress a most interdisciplinary event. Every other year, professionals from the fields of medicine, research, nursing, psychology, social work, pharmaceuticals, music therapy, art therapy and physiotherapy, as well as volunteers from around the world, come together to learn and benefit from the experience of their peers as they strive to improve palliative care.
