Unsustainability, an inescapable challenge for the future of oncology

Multidisciplinary symposium organized by Centre Léon Bérard, Centre de Recherche en Cancérologie de Lyon and Cancéropole Lyon Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.

This event will bring together around 100 participants, including researchers in biomedicine and the humanities and social sciences, as well as cancer care staff and patient association representatives.

The ambition of this colloquium is to encourage dialogue in order to collectively reflect on the issues linked to the impact of unsustainability in cancerology - a major challenge for the future of the discipline - and the responses to be provided.

Discussions will focus in particular on key issues such as:

How sustainable is innovation in oncology?
What production policy for cancer drugs?
What role do manufacturers play in this field?
What are the limits of artificial intelligence in oncology?

The aim of this symposium is to explore these issues and analyze how they combine in the field of oncology.
