Voices and Practices

National Days of Science and Participatory Research.

Participatory science and research are attracting growing interest, as evidenced by the increasing number of projects, study days, feedback sessions, and other initiatives dedicated to these approaches and organized by a diverse range of stakeholders.

By bringing together different forms of knowledge, participatory science and research enable the co-creation of concrete, accessible, and actionable knowledge for the widest possible audience, and place all contributing stakeholders on an equal footing to address today’s many challenges.

The goal of these events is to offer everyone who practices and supports participatory science and research a space to step outside our usual frameworks: to discover alternative approaches, take a step back from our own practices, and foster new ideas, collaborations, and perspectives. These sessions will amplify the voice of participatory science and research (PSR) and collectively affirm and highlight its transformative effects within engaged communities and on the ground: knowledge production, social innovations, sharing of scientific culture, and impact on public policy. This event marks an important step in strengthening the participatory science and research (PSR) community, enabling us to chart our own strategic and practical roadmap for the coming years. The conference is open to all stakeholders in participatory science and research (PSR), regardless of their field of work or role in these initiatives.
