Call for transnational projects to transform healthcare systems - THCS 2024

The European Partnership for Transforming Health and Care Systems (Transforming health and care systems - THCS) 2024 transnational call for projects aims to support the implementation of innovative person-centered health and care models integrating prevention strategies.

A score of countries, including France, are involved in its funding. Proposed projects must involve research teams from several countries, with each country funding national teams. The ANR funds French academic partners up to a maximum of €300,000 (€350,000 for the coordinators of selected projects) for an initial period of up to three years, while the Direction générale de l'offre de soins (DGOS) of the Ministry of Labor, Health and Solidarity funds partners working in healthcare establishments, health cooperation groups, health homes and health centers.

The ANR also provides funding for research teams from the French Ministry of Health

The field of end-of-life research can fit in with certain prevention projects (described in the annex for French participants). Indeed, so-called "tertiary" prevention is associated with services that promote a better quality of life for people suffering from illness, and quaternary prevention involves avoiding the over-medicalization of patients, protecting them from unnecessary interventions and suggesting ethical alternatives.

This is only the second year of this call for projects, and an opportunity to develop projects on a European scale.

The call for projects is open from February 26, 2024 until May 14, 2024 at 2pm, but letters of intent must be submitted before April 16, 2024 at 2pm.
