Libault report on the "Grand âge et autonomie" consultation process

On March 28, 2019, Dominique Libault submitted a report in response to a mission letter dated September 17, 2018, from the Prime Minister to conduct a consultation and make proposals for reform, particularly with a view to a bill. A wide-ranging national consultation has enabled proposals to be drawn up with the people and players concerned.

The report can be consulted on line, on the website of the Ministry of Solidarity and Health.

It puts forward 175 proposals.

Proposal no. 159 is in line with the objective of accelerating and encouraging research related to aging in order to inform decision-making in the field of old age. It advocates d'encouraging research in the human and social sciences to better understand and apprehend aging, old age and the end of life as a social phenomenon, and fostering the logic of interdisciplinarity.
