The European association for palliative care (EAPC) is a professional organization whose aim is to promote and support the development of palliative care in Europe and worldwide. Recognized by the Council of Europe, the association works closely with its partners and other European and international agencies. EAPC's strategic objectives include supporting palliative care research, disseminating its findings, and promoting evidence-based care practices.

The National Platform for End-of-Life Research joined the EAPC in August 2025. While several network members were already involved in this association's activities on an individual basis, it is now collectively, as a multidisciplinary research network, that the Platform is engaging with the European palliative care community. It will thus both benefit from EAPC initiatives and contribute to collaborative efforts to advance care and research in Europe.

In this context, the Platform encourages its network members to participate in the next edition of the EAPC World Congress to be held from May 14 to 16, 2026, in Prague. This congress is indeed a benchmark event concerning palliative and end-of-life care, bringing together over 2,000 participants from nearly 80 different countries. The call for papers is open until October 31, 2025. The Platform is organizing on October 2, 2025 at 12:30 pm a webinar to help those who wish to propose an abstract. Researchers whose papers are selected will be able to apply for funding from the platform to cover registration and travel costs.
