Colorful light bulb puzzle

The aim of the Fin de vie 2023 call for expressions of interest (AMI) launched by the Plateforme nationale pour la recherche sur la fin de vie, with the support of the Caisse nationale de solidarité pour l'autonomie (CNSA) was to invite researchers to bring to light new projects and themes in this field. It aims to support the design and feasibility phases of projects, then the stages of submission to national or international calls for projects. It concerns interdisciplinary work on the end of life in the field of autonomy (old age and/or disability).

The jury, which met on September 25, selected 5 projects:

  • Acting for the health and improved quality of life of family caregivers of elderly people in palliative care at home (PADOM-PALLI), a project led by Emmanuel BAGARAGAZA.
  • Prospective clinical study evaluating the efficacy of transmucosal midazolam sedation in a standardized pediatric setting (SETRAPED), project led by Matthias SCHELL.
  • Expression and reception of "wishes to die" and autonomy(ies) of elderly people living at home: social, psychic and ethical issues (EVA-Senior), project led by Guillaume GRANDAZZI.
  • Supporting healthcare professionals from the home to the end of life (AcDomi-Vie), a project led by Johanne SAISON.
  • Faisabillity and effectiveness of advance care plans in patients at high risk of death on discharge from geriatric acute medicine: a prospective, multicenter, randomized, controlled, open-label, superiority study (SAPHARI), project led by Fabien VISADE.

Selected projects receive funding for 12 months of up to 20,000 €.
