The care community as an empowering environment
This work focuses on the dynamics of interprofessional teams in the context of palliative and end-of-life care, with the prospect of opening them up to practices that are more inclusive of the patient and their loved ones, in response to the challenges of health democracy. The research thus focuses on the possibility of a transition from the classic interprofessional community of practice as observed in care settings today, to a more inclusive, participatory "processual community of care" more focused on empowerment and the development of its members' power to act. What types of training and pedagogical approaches would facilitate this learning to "make community"
This thesis has two ambitions: to improve training pathways, and to improve working environments in palliative care.
It is based on a major hypothesis, that of a necessary collective and contextualized learning of actors and organizations to go beyond the limits of the interprofessional community of practice framework in favor of a processual community of care.
