Interdisciplinary workshop "Funeral practices of yesterday and today

The aim of these workshops is to encourage collective reflection and the pooling of methodological and theoretical resources around concrete case studies. The aim is to present the analysis of burials and/or funerary spaces, the study of technical and ritual practices, and to freely discuss the issues and theories identified or those that can be mobilized to account for the facts from other disciplinary contributions. The main disciplines mobilized are archaeology, in particular archaeothanatology, anthropology and ethnography, but this horizon can be broadened.
