The identity dynamics of three hospital cultures: curative, palliative, administrative, faced with the reality of dying: How is hospital interculturality organized and how does it act on the ethical destiny of dying?

It is from an anthropological angle that this study explores the relationship between the hospital and the dying. How do these two objects, marked by complexity for the one and the unrepresentable for the other, fit together and can they guarantee ethics at all times? The hospital, here, will be considered as an ordered space in which curative, palliative and administrative cultures interact. We explore the identity dynamics of these three hospital cultures in the face of the intrusion of the real of dying. With the help of the notion of interculturality, we attempt to understand how actions and reflections are organized when the dying makes its appearance, and how the intercultural acts on the ethical becoming of the dying.
