2nd ILVV Symposium

The ILVV is organizing its social sciences and humanities research symposium on longevity, old age, and aging.

The objectives are to: highlight ongoing research through a call for papers on broad and foundational themes; foster connections and mutual understanding; provide a space for debate; to foster dialogue across disciplines

The objectives of the ILVV symposium reflect the institute’s four missions: to understand, to disseminate, to share, and to foster dialogue regarding research in the humanities and social sciences on longevity, forms of old age, and aging.

The symposium is aimed at researchers and is organized around:
• Two days of seminars to take stock of current research
• Three plenary sessions on key issues and challenges
• Four thematic workshops to bring together diverse perspectives.

The symposium will bring together the research community in this field, as well as all stakeholders in research and public policy related to population aging, longevity, and the experiences of aging.

Structured around plenary sessions, thematic workshops, and opportunities for discussion, it will provide a framework conducive to scientific exchanges and in-depth debates.
