Presentation of the Horizon 2026 "Earlier and more precise palliative care" call for projects
This webinar aims to help researchers apply to the Horizon 2026 call for projects HORIZON-MISS-2026-02-CANCER-04, which will be targeted at research projects in favor of early and better adapted palliative care.
Speaker: Vania ROSAS, coordinator National Contact Point (NCP) Health Cluster Horizon Europe, expert on the Horizon Europe program committee, DGRI, Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Space
She will give a detailed presentation of the content of the HORIZON-MISS-2026-02-CANCER-04 call for projects, offering recommendations for researchers.
In this call, researchers are invited to develop integrated palliative care models from the moment of cancer diagnosis. The challenge is to build care systems capable of anticipating patients' preferences and needs thanks to artificial intelligence and digital tools. It also involves deploying remote monitoring solutions and strengthening homecare options. The aim is also to improve real-time communication between patients, families and caregivers.
The call has an indicative total budget of €15 million, providing funding for 3 projects (around €5 million per action). It is open from February 10, 2026, with a submission deadline of September 15, 2026.
Feedback will also be provided by Guillaume ECONOMOS, coordinator of a winning project in the European Horizon Europe 2021 call for projects: Integrated short-term palliative rehabilitation to improve quality of life and equitable care access in incurable cancer - INSPIRE.
