Panorama 2022
Each year, the Plateforme nationale pour la recherche sur la fin de vie (National Platform for Research on End-of-Life Care) produces a report on the current state of research, based on the data entered in its national directory. The 2022 edition is now available.
This year, our classification system has been improved for a more accurate inventory. We also present an overview of theses in progress or recently defended in connection with the end of life.
The members of our network numbered 366 as of June 2022. These researchers declaring that they are conducting research related to end-of-life and palliative care are spread throughout France and affiliated, for 73% of them, to a research unit or clinical research structure.
The network is made up of researchers from all over the world
Our classification, built on the basis of researcher declarations, includes 56 specialties, 54% of which are in the health field and 46% in the humanities and social sciences.
The male/female ratio, research themes, geographical distribution, pathologies and populations studied... are just some of the elements analyzed in this overview.
