Pediatric Palliative Care: What Are the Specific Research Issues?
The June 26 webinar, hosted by Ashley RIDLEY and Matthias SCHELL, is now available online.
Pediatric palliative care is intended for a highly diverse population of children with relatively rare conditions. These conditions involve complex care pathways that often span several years and require coordination among numerous healthcare providers. These epidemiological and clinical characteristics give rise to specific research questions and require a specific methodological approach. Drawing on examples of ongoing French studies, Ashley RIDLEY and Matthias SCHELL, pediatricians working in mobile pediatric palliative care teams, explain how these projects were adapted to this unique population from their conception through their implementation.
