Etude des Demandes d'Euthanasie ou de Suicide Assisté chez les personnes âGEes vivant en établissement d'hébergement (Study of requests for euthanasia or assisted suicide among elderly people living in residential care)

The DESAGE study aims to describe, analyze and understand the content, motives and meaning of requests for euthanasia or assisted suicide made by elderly people living in Etablissement d'Hébergement pour Personnes Agées Dépendantes.

When such a request is stated by a resident, a relative (identified by the resident) and the healthcare professional to whom the request was addressed are met in semi-directive interviews within 48h of the request as well as one week afterwards in order to understand the basis and determinants of the request as well as its evolution.
