Factors associated with student performance at oncology OSCEs

PROSPECOS-CLB is a prospective observational study conducted at the Centre Léon Bérard aimed at identifying factors associated with medical students' performance on oncology OSCEs. The project analyzes the influence of pedagogical, contextual and individual variables, including students' previous experience, assessor characteristics and perceived stress levels. An innovative secondary analysis of facial expressions from video recordings of the stations, carried out in collaboration with academic teams in cognitive sciences, also enables the link between objective emotional stress and performance to be studied. The aim is to improve understanding of the determinants of OSCE success and optimize teaching practices and clinical skills assessment modalities.
